The Service Canada Resource Area served 18,451 clients (Sept. 04 - Aug. 05), either providing direct service, information, or referring clients to other programs within The Livingston Centre. According to our survey results, nearly 100% of these clients indicated high satisfaction with our services rating this service and its team as excellent or very good. Also, in nearly every case, clients stated that they found the information they were looking for and found the staff helpful, informative and courteous.

Some of the varied and free services offered in the Resource Area include:

  • Information on obtaining Birth Certificates, Social Insurance Numbers, applying for Employment Insurance and access to many other Federal and Provincial services.
  • Personal assistance with accessing internet information and computer software
  • Workshop training and assistance using Winway to create resumes.
  • Booking appointments for employment counselling and training
  • Access to internet for job search and career exploration
  • Innumerable hands-on resources to assist in job search and career exploration such as a fax machine, photo-copier, telephones, ten computers, printers, directories, college and university information, books, magazines, and newspapers.

Changes will always take place, but one thing is constant in the Resource Area, and that is the commitment to and delivery of quality service to our clients.
