Thank you to everyone who has supported MSC since 1978. This includes various provincial, federal and municipal government agencies and departments (generally these funds are directed to specific programs and are not at 100% levels) as well as a variety of clubs, businesses, industries, employee groups and individuals. An up to date donor history details the incredible support the agency has received since day one. The agency hosts annual fund-raisers including the Food & Farce in February which supports Adult Basic Literacy.

Donors and supporters are recognized in a variety of ways. The Centre has a "history room" in The Livingston Centre that displays many MSC items from past fund-raisers and other special events. At fundraising events, donors receive recognition at the event, on advertising and through participant items like event tickets, etc. Prompt thanks are sent to all donors and preferences regarding privacy or publicity are respected. A formal donor recognition event is held annually and agency staff are available for tours/presentations to any service club, association, church group, business, industry or individual that wishes to learn more about us. How You Can Help

Community programs can no longer rely on government funds to remain completely viable.

Your ideas are welcome! There are many ways that those interested in MSC programs can help: volunteering to help with fundraising activities or other volunteer opportunities at the Centre; providing donations (monthly, one time, goods for events and programs) and through planned giving to a registered charity like MSC. It is suggested that individuals discuss the benefits of this option with financial advisors and family.

MSC staff recognize we are not the only "good cause" in our community. We urge you to become aware of the many worthy and charitable opportunities available to donors and volunteers. Support your community in some way! That way it will stay the way you want it to be - a place you want to call "home."
